Viña del Mar Fire Department proudly protects 600.000 people living in an area of 950 square kilometers. We run out of 8 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.The Viña del Mar Fire Department of the been founded in December 14 of 1884. When a group of Voluntary FireFighter of the City of Valparaíso, distant 15 kilometer of Viña del Mar city, they with their residences in Viña del Mar city founding a Company, the First Company, divided in 2 Battalions, one of Water and another of Axes and Scales.
